Kijkt hij me nu aan? Zodra ik een oogje in een stuk materiaal plaats, ontstaat er een personage dat langzaam een eigen verhaal begint te vertellen. Zo komt het beeld tot leven en neemt mijn verbeelding de leiding.

Al van jongs af aan onderzoek ik hoe materialen verhalen kunnen vertellen. Tijdens mijn studie aan de Rietveld Academie ontdekte ik hoe ik mijn eigen wereld kon vormgeven.

Sindsdien werk ik in diverse disciplines, van productontwerp en illustratie tot beeldhouwkunst en kunsteducatie, en verwerk ik mijn werkwijze in lesprogramma’s en workshops.

In mijn werk ontdek je speelse wezens en kleine wondertjes, die een glimlach oproepen en soms een spiegel voorhouden over wie we zijn.

Through my creations, I discover stories and worlds where my imagination and creativity take the lead. My work usually manifests in the form of creatures and characters whose human aspects resonate with the viewer.

From a young age, I've explored how different materials can tell a story. Later, during my studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, I discovered how I could shape my own world.

Since then, I've worked in a variety of disciplines, from product design and illustration to sculpture and art education. I also incorporate my work style into curriculum and workshops.

I love to bring a smile to your face, and maybe, if you look closely, discover playful creatures and little wonders all around you.
